Where the Desert Meets the Dream

Last Friday, the Sulha Peace Movement held one of its most beautiful gatherings yet — 110 people, roughly half Palestinian and half Israeli, coming together at the stunning Ein Fashha Nature Reserve near the Dead Sea.
We had four rich workshops:
Meron Rapoport, co-founder of A Land For All, walked us through the confederation vision for Israeli-Palestinian peace and engaged openly with every question and concern from the room.
Yonatan Kunda led a powerful Spoken Word workshop.
Keren Shams brought us into movement and song for peace.
And Musa Hetawi facilitated a reflection circle where participants practiced deep listening to each other’s personal stories.
Throughout the day, we were blessed with live original music by Shira Golan, Yonatan Kunda, and Michael Lehmann — a true gift.
As always, there were circles of listening, cross-cultural connection, and plenty of delicious food to share.
In these dark and painful times, being together — Palestinians and Israelis, side by side — is itself an act of hope. A small light, but an important one.
