For several consecutive years, Sulhita gatherings brought together Israeli and Palestinian youth for several days at a time, in nature, far from the daily turmoil. This year we are renewing the Sulhita program with young adults in their 20s and 30s. These will be gatherings of listening, dialogue, creativity and solidarity.
We invite you, ladies, to meet at eye level to weave a delicate fabric of human connections, woman to woman with the right to touch personal stories, pain, fear, and body. We are addressing women who want to climb the wall of isolation that separates us, to overcome the barriers of fear, doubt, anger, and isolation, and to stand with the knowledge in the heart that we can, yes we can, create a new language in our relationships, the language of the heart, the language of listening that allows for respect, compassion, empathy, and ultimately also healing.
The meeting is an opportunity to create a safe place for all of us to share personal stories, feelings, difficulties, and hesitations. We want to strengthen and empower each other and highlight the commonalities between us as women facing many challenges in a world dominated by the language of violence and power. We choose to come with an open heart and great love.
The meeting includes: listening exercises, breathing, movement, a women's circle, and small groups.
